Today we live in a world full of too many things and too little value, we do not take time to focus
on what is important, to think about our lifes, nature and it´s resources.
To change that I teamed up with some amazing, eco friendly vendors.
We truly belive that it is also possible to include that into a luxuirous and glamorous setting to create an extraoridinary wedding experience, without harming the environment, our nature or other human beings. That´s why we created this ecofriendly, sustainable but also luxurious and glamourous wedding inspiration.
The colors, white, light and navy blue with golden highlights were inspired by the baroque castle we used as shooting location. The castle, Zeilitzheim was built in 1679 and is now a picturesque wedding location within the heart of the bavarian wine region, around Würzburg but also a sustainable and oecological winery, producing high class wines with an extraoridinary flavor.
The decorations by Heidigold designerie was created with true, luxurious vintage stationary, like tin place plates, traditional blue and white ornamented porcellain plates and real vintage golden cutttlery, natural linen napkins and beeswax candles. For the flower arrangements we choose natural products that were in season and growing in Europe, like thistles, hydrangea, catkin, thyme and asparagus.
As stationary we choose to work with "fein im design" who is specialised in sustainable stationary, green weddings and works with natural papers that are produced sustainably in Germany. For example, her paper supplier is focusing on reducing water consumption, reducing waste, using renewable energy, and is FSC certified. Right at the beginning of each conception and customer consultation aspects of sustainability are taken care of in her designs. This includes, for example, the application of paint, the use of environmental papers and the commissioning of environmental printers. These are some aspects of sustainable design that she pursues. For her it is important that the wedding design, wedding stationary and the wishes of her clients grow together to a holistic and sustainable project
For the cake we worked with Sabrina Gotzmeister who works with regional ingrediences and took care that the ingrediences are ecological grown, even the "golden" decor was produces sustainably in Germany. Also the macarones were from Tafelzier, a local manufacturor, handmade with high quality ingrediences and local resources.
Moderngrace, the hair and make up artist was working with natural cosmetics and is focusing on a sustainable lifestyle.
We wanted to make sure that also the wedding rings are handmade from a local goldsmith - Susanne Anna Meiner - she uses recycled gold or gold from fair mined resources., where you can even identify from which exact mine it´s coming from.
And finally the gorgeous dresses are handmade haute couture pieces by Ann Wiberg in Copenhagen. They are made with reused antique fabrics, laces and unique embroideries. They are hand dyied and transformed into these gorgeous pieces of art which she herself calls trash couture and are worn by celebreties all over the world.
A sustainable, ecofriendly and glamorous wedding can be possible!
